The Clover 2030 International Advisory Board Meeting

The UC-UTFSM Consortium will receive on January 2016 a delegation of deans, entrepreneurs and world-class consultants to addressing the evolution of CORFO’s project Engineering 2030.

During the The Clover 2030 International Advisory Board Meeting, our guests will put into perspective the initiatives promoted by the Consortium from 2014 to date, and will provide an assessment and advice from their distinguished career in education and innovation.

The event includes the review of the work done during the first year of the project implementation. Also considers work sessions and meetings with Engineering UC and UTFSM teachers.

At the same time, the organizers hope to make an event open to the community, to analyze the contribution of engineering to the national growth and development.

The participants will be: deans Katherine Banks (Texas A & M University), Mary C. Boyce (Columbia University), Peter Kilpatrick (University of Notre Dame) and Francisco Veloso (Catholic University of Portugal); consultants Ruth Graham and Vilas Mujumdar; professor Yoel Fink (MIT), Robin Wallace (University of Edinburgh) and Ikhlaq Sidhu (SCET- UC Berkeley); and the entrepreneurs Francisco Larraín (Zudo and Zafe), Fernando Flores (Pluralistic Networks), Álvaro Fischer (Resiter), Karina von Baer (Agrotop), Claudia Bobadilla (Senior Management Network Foundation, RAD) and Jeff Abbott (Wasabi Ventures).

This board shall meet once a year in order to have a constructive outside opinion to help contextualize the impact of the transformation of engineering education in the development of Chile. Also to contribute to the conversion of world-class institutions.
